It was with sincere regret and surprise that I heard of John's passing from Deb a few days after his 79th birthday. John and I first met in 1997 at an asphalt trade show, and what started out as a business relationship quickly became more of a friendship. John always was quick with his wit, eager to share his good sense of humor, and opinions, yes opinions, he always had an opinion that he wanted to share. I feel truly blessed to have known him well, and to have received his opinions, and his jokes. John is remembered as a unique individual, who loved his asphalt industry, but not as much as his family, Deb, Christine, and Max. Please accept my sincere condolences, and I hope these thoughts can bring some measure of comfort for you all during this difficult time. Jim
